Jewish Federation of St. Louis and St. Louis Jewish Light invite the community to a dynamic presentation with Alon Ben David, an Israeli news correspondent. Mr. Ben David will provide a first-hand account of reporting news in Israel, what it means to be a reporter in such a tumultuous region, and his own experiences in Gaza this past summer. After the presentation, Larry Levin, Publisher/CEO – St. Louis Jewish Light, will interview Alon and moderate questions from the audience. This event will take place at the Jewish Community Center’s Staenberg Family Complex in the Arts and Education Building, 2 Millstone Campus Drive, 63146, at 7:00 pm on Monday, January 12, 2015.

Alon Ben David is a television and print journalist who has been covering the Middle East region for more than 25 years. Mr. Ben David is currently Senior Defense Correspondent for Israel TV Channel 10 and Middle East Correspondent for Aviation Week. He presents on-air military news and analyses daily, including on-the-scene reporting. Mr. Ben David has covered all major events in the region in the last two decades, including the first and second Intifadas and the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. He has reported from scenes of many other major global events, including the September 11th attacks in New York.
