Marci Mayer Eisen, MSW
Director, Millstone Institute
A dedicated Jewish career professional, Marci is the Director of the Millstone Institute and primary staff person for JProStl, community-wide collaborations to connect, train and inspire professionals and volunteer leaders. The Millstone Institute and JProStl are seen across the country as models for leadership engagement. Marci previously worked at the JCRC coordinating interfaith volunteerism and spent the majority of her career at the Jewish Community Center, where she was Director of Family Service and Jewish Community Life and developed hundreds of family programs and community special events. A native of Philadelphia, Marci has a BS in Human Development from Penn State, MSW from Wurzweiler School of Social Work and Certificate in Leadership and Non-Profit Management from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Marci also received certification as a leadership coach through the College of Executive Coaching.
Marci attended the College of Executive Coaching in 2015 and received the ACC coaching credential through the ICF (International Coach Federation) in 2017. She serves on the board of the St. Louis chapter of ICF.
She is a graduate of Focus St. Louis’ CORO Women in Leadership and Leadership St. Louis and has attended hundreds of seminars locally and nationally. With a deep commitment to social work education, Marci has supervised over 30 MSW students, including international students. Marci presents on the subject of group dynamics, effective boards and teams, inquiry and community building. She is a recipient of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis Fred A. Goldstein Professional Excellence Award, the National JCC Association Yakir Professional Award and the St. Louis Kollel Community Leadership Award. Outside of work, Marci is a volunteer with Immigrant and Refugee Women’s Project as an English tutor.
