9:15 – 10:15 Opening Session – Focus on Values with Roey Kruvi
Through a series of one-on-one and small group conversations, we’ll build our young professional community and together explore our goals and clarify priorities at work and home. Roey has facilitated leadership programs internationally for young adults of all backgrounds affiliated with Jewish life through the Schusterman Foundation and Moishe House. He is the past recipient of the JPro (of North America) Young Pro of the Year.
10:15– 11:10 – Workshops Session #1 – Pausing for Creative Expression
- Using social media to tell your story – “Influencer” Esther Santer. With over 80,000 followers on Instagram, Esther shares “real talk” on life, love and motherhood. She and her husband, Avi Rosenberg, recently moved back to St. Louis from New York City for Avi to open Nate’s Kosher Deli. Esther will present twice at 10:15 and 10:45
- Creative Expression Station – all 3 stations open – attend 1, 2 or experience all 3.
- Vision board – Make your own vision board using a combination of materials and techniques with Rachel Bray (JCRC)
- Taking Care of Our Environment – Create your own planting with with Marla Guggenheimer McDonnell and engage in conversation about bringing environmental issues to your work (Civic Engagement Manger, Great Rivers Greenway)
- Power of the Written Word – Poetry as a Creative Outlet – Join Jessica Fischoff (JCC) to craft your own poem, reflecting on the power of pausing.
11:15 – 12:10 – Workshop Sessions #2 – Choice of Workshops – Pausing for Personal Meaning
- Staying healthy at work – Stretching & meditation with Dodi Smason, (Jewish Federation/JCC)
- Amplifying Your Voice – How to Show Up, whether you’re the youngest/newest, different than the majority, or just less comfortable speaking up in ways that you feel present, confident and curious. Emilie Docter Fan, MSW (WashU)
- Shared Dialogue – Creating Spaces for important, yet often challenging conversations about our world today with Chyna Bowen and Jeremy Brok, LEADSTL
12:15 – 1:10 – Lunch and conversations with table hosts
1:15 – 2:10 – Workshop Sessions #3 – Choice of Workshops – Pausing for Inspiration
- Our Israel – Join a panel of Israeli and Israeli-American colleagues to learn about their experiences and perspectives, especially since 10/7/23.
- The Joy of Shabbat Dinner Rituals -Using the meaning of Sabbath rituals to experience the weekly ultimate pause in Judaism with Max Oppenheimer (Jewish Federation)
- Finding Inspiration – Providing Inspiration – with Rabbi Rachel Bearman (Congregation Shaare Emeth). Take a deeper look into everyday life for opportunities to feel joy and show up for yourself and for others.
2:15 Challah braiding for all (take home your own Challah to bake) with Lauren Abraham (JCRC)
