Authenticity in Museums and Archives is one of the core tenets of what makes an institution trustworthy to its visitors and other museums. As responsible stewards of records and objects, museum professionals must ensure that the tremendous resources it takes to preserve and display objects are responsibly dispersed. A large part of that is the research and identification of objects offered for donation.
