History is in the Bag! – with Anna Lehrke (free & in person)

Welcome back Anna Lehrke in this special two-part program at the Mirowitz Center. First, a speaker event exploring the long and fascinating history of bags, for men and women alike. Followed by a return of the Abbie White Collection of evening bags, a museum-quality exhibit that comes to life with music, memories, and fabulous photo ops! Both programs co-sponsored by the GG’s (“Gals on the Go”), the Mirowitz Center’s women’s group.

• “History is in the Bag!” (Part 1 of 2) An informational and entertaining presentation on the backstory of bags, with a colorful cast of characters including a mummy, painter, queen and butterscotch maker! No cost to register, but RSVP required.
• “A Century of Evening Bags” (Part 2 of 2 – Nov. 13, 2025) Drop in anytime during the two-hour exhibit to experience this remarkable collection of antique and vintage evening bags. Bring a special bag of your own to show and tell! No cost to register, but RSVP required.
