A conversation about the state of higher education in our post 10/7 world

Monday, November 25 at 7:00 pm
Held at the St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum
36 Millstone Campus Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146

Since the October 7th attacks, Jewish students across the country have increasingly faced isolation and antisemitism on campus—simply for their identity as Jews and their support for Israel. Equally troubling is the rise in violent threats and physical attacks against Jewish students. Yet, through these challenges, we have witnessed the resilience and strength of Jewish campus communities.

Today, university administrators stand at a critical inflection point. They are tasked with creating and implementing policies that uphold free expression and academic freedom while also fostering a safe and inclusive environment for Jewish students and all members of the university community. Washington University in St. Louis has become a beacon of leadership in higher education during this difficult time.

To better understand the current state of higher education and its implications for our community, the Jewish Federation is honored to hold an evening of conversation with leaders from WashU: Andrew D. Martin – Chancellor, Dr. Anna Gonzalez – Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, and Jackie Levey – CEO, WashU Hillel. This important discussion will be moderated by Meggie Wyschogrod Fredman, Director of Jewish Communal Partnerships at AJC.

Presented by the Jewish Federation of St. Louis in partnership with WashU, AJC, WashU Hillel, and hosted by the St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum. Sponsored by BBYO, JCRC and JSU.

Registration Required. For more information, please contact Karen Sher at 314-442-3824.
