Exploring Sephardic Music
Join Avi Mazzeo for a conversation with musical accompaniment exploring the history and evolution of Sephardic music.
In-person at Kol Rinah — RSVP not required, but helpful
Each session will begin with a brief historical background on the communities whose music we will be learning, then we will listen to several examples of recordings from distinguished members of these communities, and conclude with a song circle where we will learn several Sephardic tunes together.
There will be a packet full of music for folks to take home after each session.
You do not have to attend both sessions. The music packet will be cumulative.
