Central Reform Congregation Tashlich

3:30 pm – Gather in CRC’s Oneg to walk from CRC to Forest Park together, or meet us between 4 – 4:15 pm at Murphy Lake.
Tashlich comes from the Hebrew word meaning “to cast,” referring to the intent to cast away our sins via this meaningful and ancient Rosh Hashanah custom.
We will sing and recite blessings at the lake, and cast “shmutz”—grasses and crumbs that symbolize the behaviors we need to let go of—into the water. This outside ritual helps begin the ten-day journey to Yom Kippur.
This service is in person only and will not be streamed.
Note: This event does not require pre-registration.
