Bitcoin and Blockchain technology are a frequent news topic. We welcome all members, from those who are unfamiliar with Bitcoin and Blockchain technology to our expert financial services professionals. At this lunch, Sandy Boxerman and Edward Weinhaus will explain the following:

What is cryptocurrency? What is Blockchain? How do they work? What are exchanges? And what are the legitimate uses of cryptocurrency?

Sandy Boxerman is one of the founding shareholders of Capes Sokol. Sandy represents individuals and entities in white collar criminal prosecutions, internal investigations and criminal and civil tax matters. Sandy also counsels clients in the digital currency and Blockchain space, particularly with respect to regulatory and tax matters.  In addition to chairing Capes Sokol’s White Collar Criminal Defense and Internal Investigations practice group, Sandy is the chair of Capes Sokol’s Digital Currency and Blockchain Technology practice group.

Edward “Coach” Weinhaus is a Lecturer at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and Chairman of The Coin Group, a cryptocurrency business holding company. The Coin Group’s holdings include BlockTribune (with Coach serving as Publisher), interests in a cryptocurrency ATM company, peer-to-peer escrow exchange, trading floor, retail cryptocurrency sales, investment banks and hedge funds with operations in North and South America. Coach earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Booth (University of Chicago).
