An update on Ukraine featuring Ukrainian-American Ana Sazonov

[add_to_calendar event_id=’383919′]

As the Russian/Ukrainian War continues, The Jewish Federation of St. Louis invites you for a conversation with Federation leadership and special guest Ana Sazonov on the current landscape across the Former Soviet Union.

Join us on June 21 to explore how St. Louis’ investment in crisis relief efforts truly saved lives, and how our support is continuing to impact Ukrainians around the world. We will examine the challenges that lie ahead and what role St. Louis can play in meeting these needs. We will also be joined by Ana Sazonov, a Ukrainian-American, who is a tireless advocate for the people of Ukraine and Ukraine’s Jewish community. Learn more about Ana in her bio below. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Featuring Speaker Ana Sazonov

Ana is a remarkable woman with an engaging story about her Ukrainian upbringing and her repressed Jewish identity. After the fall of the Soviet Union, her family made Aliyah. Ana will share her story of embracing Judaism and her Israeli identity.

Ana is motivated by a sense of obligation to fulfill the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world. This obligation spurs her to advocate for those refugees and Ukraine, which led her to dedicate her time to Ukraine. Ana has been selected to be on the 2023 Hadassah List of 18 Women who are shaping the future of Zionism.
