This exclusive  Lion of Judah Mission invites you to experience an unforgettable journey of five inspiring days of connection, culture, and community in one of the world’s most iconic cities.

All participants are required to make an individual or household gift of $5,000 (Lion of Judah level) or more to the Jewish Federation of St. Louis 2025 Annual Campaign. Women who commit to the Lion of Judah step up giving program, are also invited to join us.

DAY 1: MONDAY, APRIL 20 — BIENVENUE À PARIS

  • Upon arrival at Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport, the group will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel.
  • Leave luggage at the hotel and meet your guide in the lobby.
  • Depart on a panoramic tour of the city to view its iconic sites. See the Eiffel Tower, Place de la Concorde, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral, and drive down the Champs Elysées.
  • Visit the Grand Synagogue of Paris, known as the Synagogue de la Victoire—the largest synagogue in France, established in 1874.
  • Meet with synagogue president, Jacques Canet for a vibrant discussion.
  • Travel to the Marais district for a walking tour of Paris’s historic Jewish quarter, filled with vibrant culture, synagogues, charming streets, and moving stories.
  • Walk along the Rue des Rosiers to learn the history of the neighborhood, and appreciate the 2,000 year history of the Jewish community in Paris.
  • Lunch on own. Why not stop at L’As du Falafel—the most famous falafel spot in Paris (optional)— or explore one of the many Jewish bakeries, restaurants, and specialty shops nearby?
  • Stop at the Wall of Names and visit the Shoah Memorial. Return to the hotel for check-in and time to relax.
  • This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with special guest speaker, Rabbi Pauline Bebe. Bebe is France’s first female rabbi and spiritual leader of the Communauté Juive Libérale in Paris. Hear about her life and an overview of Jewish life in Paris today.

DAY 2: TUESDAY, APRIL 21 — PARIS

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Depart for the ORT School. Meet the principal and learn about Jewish education in France before meeting students and Shinshinim members.
  • Hear an overview of how JDC supports the local Jewish community and how global Jewish partnership support local institutions.
  • Celebrate connections and stories from St. Louis participants who have hosted Shinshinim. Lunch on own.
  • Uncover the art of fragrance with a hands-on perfume workshop at Fragonard.
  • Have a private visit to the beautiful Palais Garnier (Opéra Garnier). Discover the opulent architecture and hidden Jewish influences in this cultural gem, which most notably houses the ceiling fresco by Marc Chagall.
  • Return to the hotel to relax, have dinner on your own, and spend an evening at leisure.

DAY 3: WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22 — PARIS

  • Have breakfast at the hotel.
  • Visit the AJC Paris office to meet with Director, Anne-Sophie Sebban-Bécache, to learn how the organization strives to inform policy discussions within France. Hear about how they partner with government officials, law enforcement, and education authorities to combat antisemitism and extremism.
  • Stop at Moishe House to meet with residents and organization leadership to learn about Jewish life in France today through the eyes of the younger generation.
  • Lunch on own.
  • Visit La Galerie Dior. This immersive museum pays homage to the legendary house of Christian Dior, showcasing decades of haute couture, iconic designs – from breathtaking gowns to intricate sketches and archival pieces – as well as the artistry behind one of the world’s most celebrated fashion brands. Galerie Dior offers a mesmerizing glimpse into the magic of Parisian couture.
  • Drive to the Israeli Embassy, where we will meet with a diplomatic representative to discuss Israeli–French relations before and after October 7. You will also meet with a representative of The Jewish Agency, to discuss the uptick of people making aliyah from France.
  • Return to the hotel.
  • Dinner and evening free at leisure.

DAY 4: THURSDAY, APRIL 23 — PARIS

  • Have breakfast at the hotel.
  • Meet your guide and depart for the Left Bank and the quintessentially Parisian neighborhoods of Saint Germain des-Prés and Saint Michel.
  • Learn about the famous cafés of Paris and the artists, writers, and feminists who frequented them. See Le Procope, France’s oldest café, Café de Flore and Les Deux Magots.
  • Delight in chocolate tasting at Madame Cacao. Owned by Christelle Brua, the first woman to be named “Best Pastry Chef in The World,” and pastry chef at Élysée Palace.
  • Enjoy a pastry tasting at Poilâne Bakery, which has been a family affair since 1932.
  • Walk past the Pantheon, where some of the most exceptional women in history are buried including Simone Veil and Marie Curie.
  • Lunch on own.
  • After lunch, meet with leaders from a local Jewish women’s organization for a meaningful dialogue. Return to your hotel to relax before your last evening in the “city of lights.”
  • Enjoy a delicious farewell dinner with special guest speaker, Yonathan Arfi, President of the Representative Council of French Jewish Institutions (CRIF). A prominent voice in the French Jewish community, Arfi will speak about the contemporary realities of antisemitism in France and the collective Jewish and non-Jewish responses.

DAY 5: FRIDAY, APRIL 24 — BON VOYAGE

  • Have breakfast at the hotel and check out.
  • Group transfer to Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport for your return flight home.

Payment Timeline:

  • 1st Payment: $1,500 non-refundable deposit due at time of registration
  • 2nd Payment: $1,200 due by Thursday, November 20
  • Final Payment: $2,585 double occupancy or $3,275 single occupancy (additional $690) due by Monday, January 12
