Board Nominations

I am writing to invite you to partner with me in shaping the future of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis by submitting names of candidates for consideration for Federation Board membership. As leaders in our Jewish community, we thank you for your service and hope that you can serve as a voice in helping to form our new Board leadership.

We are now starting the process to invite nominations for review as the Board Development & Nominating Committee will be meeting through the end of May to develop the 2022 Board Slate. We seek individuals who bring broad stakeholder participation and represent the diversity of Jewish life.

All candidates should have the following attributes:

  • A demonstrated interest in and active commitment to the Jewish community.
  • A demonstrated interest in the work of the Jewish Federation and Community Partner Agencies.
  • The willingness, time and ability to assume leadership responsibilities.

Each year, we receive many more nominations for excellent candidates than we have slots for service. Because of our desire to maximize the diversity of skill sets, backgrounds, and approaches to our work, many qualified individuals will not be asked to serve. Consequently, we will keep all nominations in strict confidence and encourage all nominators not to share their recommendations with the nominee.

Please complete the form below to submit your recommendations.

If you have any questions, please contact Tzivia Levin Kalmes, Manager, Organizational Governance, at  TLevinKalmes@JFedSTL.org or 314-442-3868.

On behalf of Greg Yawitz, Board Chair, and Brian Herstig, President & CEO, I thank you for your willingness to help the Jewish Federation of St. Louis maintain diverse and vibrant Board leadership.

Sincerely,

Gerald P. Greiman
Chair, Board Development & Nominating Committee
