Mahane Yehuda
The market was packed before Shabbat.  Our group bought all the food we were going to prepare in the afternoon and eat that evening for our Shabbat dinner.  Everything sold at the market was beautiful, fresh, and plentiful.  The excitement in the market was apparent all around as Jerusalem prepared for Shabbat.  We can not wait to go back to the market later in our trip to buy all kinds of gifts from the Holy Land.

Shuk and Cook
After shopping at the Shuk, preparing our Shabbat dinner, and attending Friday evening services it was nice to sit and share dinner with such wonderful friends. It was a pleasant change to be in someone’s home for Shabbat instead of in the hotel or in a restaurant. We all agreed that this dinner was one of the best that we have had, perhaps because we had a hand in the preparation of the food.

HaKotel (Western Wall)
The Old City is amazing!  Religion is all around us  The Wall is a very special place and the atmosphere is incredible.  We were surrounded by Judaism in every direction. Everyone in our group took time to themselves and had their own personal moment at the Wall.  We placed our notes and prayers into the cracks of the Wall.  You can see all types of people from every religion and many countries visiting and praying at the Wall.
