Applications are now open for the 7th cohort of Millstone Fellows, a collaborative model of leadership development for emerging and established leaders in the St. Louis Jewish community.
Valuing effective leadership as being essential to ensuring a strong and united Jewish community, Fellows integrates Jewish learning with general leadership skill building so that participants will become more informed, thoughtful, and effective leaders wherever they are leading.
Neil Jaffe says the Fellows program gave him insight into the diverse views within the Jewish community.
“Participating in the Millstone Institute Fellows program helped me grow as a leader and a leader within the Jewish community. At each month’s meeting, I enjoyed seeing my cohort of Fellows who brought a variety of perspectives and diverse opinions from within the St. Louis Jewish community.”
While Judith Frankiel notes that the program also shows how much we have in common.
“The program has given me the skills to tackle the challenges in my community with confidence. More importantly, it reminded me that although the other fellows and I may practice our Judaism in different ways and spaces, we are more alike than we are different.”
Millstone Fellows is facilitated by local and national trainers and educators and includes eight monthly gatherings alternating between half-day Sundays and three-hour weeknight sessions beginning September 2019 and concluding in April 2020. Session dates and times are listed on our webpage provided below.
Cost of the program is $395. Scholarships are available.
Apply online at JFedSTL.org/Millstone-Fellows. Applications are due by July 15.
