The National Council of Community and Justice has presented its Brotherhood Sisterhood Award to the Holocaust Museum & Learning Center. Jean Cavender, Director of the Museum, joined the Jewish Federation of St. Louis President & CEO Andrew Rehfeld in accepting the award during ceremonies on June 12.
“We are honored to be recognized by NCCJ, which shares our mission to promote understanding and respect,” Cavender said. “Our goal is to use the lessons of the Holocaust to inspire empathy and create a community of change agents who recognize the importance of standing up when social injustices occur.”
The award honors individuals and organizations whose work exemplifies positive change for diversity, inclusion and equity.
