Last week I had the honor of being interviewed by Doron Lazarus about my life as an academic and the change–now 5 years ago–to leading a large community organization. The result is actually a reasonably clear explanation of what I find meaningful about this work, why I chose this path and its relation to core academic and intellectual values of ideas, research and student life. Thank you Doron for the opportunity and your interest. And more importantly for the work you are doing at Wash U to engage a new generation of students.
