JProStl, the association dedicated to supporting professionals working at Jewish organizations throughout St. Louis, is now accepting nominations for the 12th Annual JProStl Peer Recognition Awards and for the 2nd JProStl Partnership Award. Nominations can be submitted by any staff person at a Jewish agency, organization, day school or congregation. JProStl is an initiative of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis.

The deadline for submission is October 26 and awards will be presented at a community-wide luncheon on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Staenberg Family Jewish Community Center from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm. The theme for the luncheon is “Shining the Light on our Professional Community.” The JProStl peer awards honor those who exemplify professional excellence and dedication to their position, organization and the St. Louis Jewish community. Categories include Visionary, Emerging Leader, Career Achievement, Mentor, Pillar, Jewish Educator, Chesed/Kindness, and Dedication (support staff).  In addition, the JProStl Partnership Award honoring lay leaders who exemplify the lay-staff partnership.

Nominations can be submitted online for both awards at MillstoneSTL.org/JPro17.

Program co-chairs are Erin Alper of NCJW and Erin Schreiber of Maryville University Hillel. Awards co-chairs are Bryan Anderhub of The J and Patty Bloom of Saul Mirowitz Jewish Community School and Partnership Awards co-chairs are Nancy Weigley of Central Reform Congregation and Rabbi Michael Rovinsky of JSU. Marianne Chervitz of The J is JProStl Special Events Chairman and Julie Gibbs of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis is JProStl President.
