JProStl, the association for staff who work in Jewish organizations, agencies, congregations and schools throughout the St. Louis Jewish community, is presenting “The Power of Asking” on Wednesday, March 16 from noon-1:30 pm at The J’s Art & Education Building, Staenberg Family Campus. A light lunch will be included. The focus will be on how professionals address the needs of ever changing communities and open up new opportunities by shifting from what we already to know to what we need. Participants will experience how to craft questions that unlock creativity and allow for dynamic decision making.

Guest Presenter is Julie Lawson, Vice President of Leadership Programs for Focus St. Louis and Trainer for Coro Women in Leadership. Julie also manages alumni relations programs and provides strategic oversight for civic engagement efforts for the organization. She has more than 17 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and management, previously serving as President and CEO of the Crime Victim Advocacy Center and as Executive Director for the Women’s Foundation of Greater St. Louis.

Next in the series will be “The Power of an Invitation” on Thursday, April 14 at noon with Andrew Rehfeld and Susan Scribner, unpacking what has been learned and what has been done since the results of the 2014 Jewish Community Study. JProStl is affiliated with the Millstone Institute of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis. JProStl programs are supported by the Lubin-Green Foundation, a supporting foundation of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis.
