Join Jewish Federation of St. Louis for the next event in the Sh’ma: Listen! Speaker Series on Monday, February 29 at 7:00 pm with Rabbi Ariella Graetz Bartuv.

Rabbi Ariella will be exploring “Religious Diversity in Israel: A Possibility or Not?” As American Jews living in a pluralistic Diaspora, it is sometimes hard for us to understand the polarity of extremes in which many Israelis lead either secular or Orthodox lives. But, is there more in Israel than meets the eye? Join us to hear Israeli Rabbi Ariella Graetz Bartuv as she explores the issue of religious pluralism in Israel.

Growing up the daughter of a Conservative rabbi, marrying an Orthodox Jew and then becoming a Reform rabbi, Rabbi Ariella Graetz Bartuv shares her fascinating journey and love for Judaism. She serves as the rabbi of Reform Congregation Emet Veshalom in Nehariya in the Western Galilee and as a Spiritual Advisor for schools throughout the northern part of Israel. Rabbi Ariella has a B.A. in political science and philosophy from the Hebrew University and an M.A. in Judaism from Machon Schechter in Jerusalem.

The event will take place at Jewish Federation of St. Louis Kopolow Building, 12 Millstone Campus Drive. For further information or to RSVP, please contact Barbara Levin at BLevin@JFedSTL.org or 314-442-3752. You can also learn more about the Sh’ma: Listen!
