Miriam Brosseau, social media coach and strategist, will present “Creating Connections Through Social Media” on Tuesday, August 18. She will discuss how social media is transforming the way we build community, including ways online networks help organizations move beyond institutional borders. The discussion will include new “rules” of the digital age and how these platforms can be maximized for meaningful and lasting connections.

The morning session will take place from 8:00 – 9:30 am at RubinBrown, One North Brentwood, 63105 and is targeted to board members from throughout the community. The mid-day session will take place from 11:30 – 1:30 pm at Jewish Federation of St. Louis Kopolow Building, targeted to professionals through JProStl.

Miriam Brosseau is Director of Engagement for See3 Communications and Educational Director for EliTalks.com  Miriam engages communities to reflect their voice, vision, and values online. She holds a BA in Jewish Studies and Modern Hebrew from UW-Madison, and an MA in Jewish Professional Studies from Spertus College where she focused her studies on Jewish culture and the social web. She is a member of the ROI Community of young Jewish innovators and was selected as one of The New York Jewish Week’s “36 Under 36” in 2012. A social media professional by day, by night she is the lead singer of the “biblegum pop” band Stereo Sinai. While in St. Louis, Brosseau will also be working with Jewish Federation of St. Louis’ Millstone Fellows and Nishmah: The St. Louis Jewish Women’s Project of the JCC.
