Jewish Federation of St. Louis is proud to offer an important employment opportunity for individuals with disabilities. The Karen Solomon Intern Initiative, a program of the St. Louis Jewish Community Inclusion Initiative, has created an internship for a young adult with disabilities designed to enhance job skills that can lead to meaningful employment.

This 16 – 18 week paid, temporary internship will provide the candidate with the opportunity to observe Jewish Federation of St. Louis operations and work closely with various departments. Training, supervision and mentorship will be provided. Among some of the possible responsibilities are: research; writing; data entry; filing; sorting mail; scanning; helping prepare staff mailings; assisting with staff events; and attending meetings. Specific responsibilities will vary based on the department assignment.

Applicants must be able to:

  • Work with Microsoft Office programs;
  • Operate office equipment such as copy/fax/scan machines;
  • Focus on a repetitive task for an extended period of time with a high degree of accuracy;
  • Attend to detail;
  • Work productively in an office environment;
  • Take direction and complete tasks.
