The Central Agency for Jewish Education and Jewish Federation of St. Louis announce the availability of Israel Travel Grants for teens and young adults traveling to Israel for a peer-based educational experience. Through the generosity of Jewish Federation, the new travel grant is available to all teens upon completion of 9th grade and to young adults through age 27. Applications are available at CAJESTL.org.
The monetary award is based on the length of the program:
Short-term programs $ 750.00
Semester programs $1,000.00
Year-long programs $1,500.00
Participants are eligible for one grant in any 12-month funding period (August 1 – July 31). They can apply more than once, but not for the same program. This program replaces the previous limited merit-based grant program, but does not replace the teen need-based scholarships and Stuart I. Pessin Award that CAJE will continue to offer.
CAJE Israel Experience Center is our community’s local resource for teen travel to Israel. The Center helps families identify the program that best meets the needs and interests of the individual. The Center offers a number of need and incentive-based scholarships. For more information on Israel programs and financial assistance, contact Karen Rader at 314-442-3756 or KRader@CAJESTL.org.
