A Board Boot Camp, for new and returning board members from throughout the St. Louis Jewish community, will take place at Jewish Federation Kopolow Building on Wednesday, August 20 from 6 – 9:00 pm.  Leslie Peters, MBA will advise participants on how to align the work of their board with organizational priorities through this intensive and interactive seminar. Peters is CEO of Elements Partnerships and has been leading organizational and board development for the past twenty five years.

The training will clarify the differences between individual contributions and the responsibility of the board as a whole, explore frameworks for effective decision making and how to overcome common roadblocks to stay focused and engaged, and review ways to create a shared vision for board success.

Board Boot Camp is sponsored by the Millstone Institute, a community-wide endeavor to engage and inspire volunteer leaders and professionals. Programs are made possible by the support of the Lubin-Green Foundation, a supporting foundation of Jewish Federation of St. Louis, the Millstone Foundation, Mont and Karen Levy and Bill Solomon and family. Board Boot Camp is free of charge, but advanced registration is required. A light dinner will be included. Please RSVP to Marci Mayer Eisen at 314-442-3810 or meisen@jfedstl.org
