It is with great sadness that we have learned of the untimely passing of Anne Heyman, a leading Jewish philanthropist and role model whose extraordinary vision, compassion and generosity made an impact world-wide. She was a nationally-renowned motivational speaker, and she touched our community in many ways.
Last May, she was a featured speaker at a 2013 Women’s Philanthropy Lion of Judah event at the home of Gianna Jacobson, which was remembered as an incredible and inspiring evening. “Many of us do remember what a powerful story she shared and the remarkable leader she was,” says Vicki Singer, who is a current co-chair of Women’s Philanthropy along with Sherry Shuman.
Former Manhattan Borough President and current CEO of the American Jewish World Service, Ruth Messenger, paid this tribute to Anne: https://blogs.forward.com/forward-thinking/192083/anne-heymans-remarkable-life-of-service/
Please join us in extending our deepest sympathy to Anne’s family and the entire Jewish community for this tragic loss. May Anne’s memory be a blessing.
