The typical night out for Jews on December 24 includes Chinese food and a movie, but Jewish Federation’s Young Professionals Division (YPD) is giving young Jewish adults a fun alternative to that tired scene with Lollapajewza. The party, which will be held Tuesday, December 24 from 9 pm to 12 am at The Wheelhouse, 15 N. Central in Clayton, celebrates being Jewish during the Christmas season.
“St. Louis has a vibrant young Jewish community year-round, plus there are a lot of people home for winter break,” says Ben Cherry, YPD president. “For the fourth year, Lollapajewza will be the place to be. The rest of the city may be closed, but we’ll be celebrating.” The event is one of YPD’s largest parties of the year; last year more than 300 attended.
Drink specials and a full menu will be available at the bar. There is no cover fee, but registration is requested. To RSVP, go to ypdstl.org/lolla. For more information, contact Lee’at Bachar at lbachar@jfedstl.org.
