The Ben Gurion Society of Jewish Federation of St. Louis held its second annual Night at the Gallery on August 22, with more than 50 Federation leaders and donors in attendance at the Third Degree Glass Factory. The group heard from Julie Stern, a Federation board member, and Jodi Rubenstein, both of whom shared stories of their missions to Israel and Ethiopia. Listeners also learned about what the Federation has done for the Ethiopian Jewish community, including the allocation of $287,680 to Yokneam-Megiddo, St. Louis’ partnership 2000 sister-city region in Israel. Much of that allocation is targeted to support the Ethiopian immigrants in Yokneam. Attendees were able to experience a live glass blowing demonstration and view art from Ethiopian Israeli youth.

The Ben Gurion Society is for philanthropists ages 25 to 45 years who make a minimum individual gift of $1,000 to Federation’s Annual Campaign.
