Dr. Steve Miller and his wife Dr. Victoria Fraser both came from upper middle-class backgrounds, and both became very successful in their careers. “The reality is both my wife and myself have been very blessed,” says Dr. Miller. And being blessed makes them feel they have an obligation to share with others, a belief that comes from their parents. “My parents were givers, and her parents were givers,” says Dr. Miller. “They stressed the importance of giving back.”

When sharing their success with others, Drs. Miller and Fraser have an affinity for Jewish causes and for “those organizations that are responsible stewards of our gifts.” That has led them to give to Jewish Federation. “We have great confidence in the stewardship of Federation,” says Dr. Miller.

It is truly simple, says Dr. Miller, and he hopes that his children will learn the same importance of giving back that he and his wife learned from their own parents.
