Tzipi Livni, former Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs and Vice Prime Minister, is coming to St. Louis on Thursday, Nov. 29, to honor Jewish Federation’s 2012 Major Gifts donors. She will give an insider’s view of the situation in Israel – and will be available for interviews that day.

Livni has served as the Israeli Opposition Leader from 2009 to 2012 and leader of Kadima, the largest party in the Knesset. She has held numerous ministerial and leadership positions throughout her tenure, among which she was appointed Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs in May, 2006, and served in that position until March, 2009.

Livni has been arguably the most powerful woman in Israel since Golda Meir, and a principal player in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. She has been named as one of TIME magazine’s top 100 most influential people in the world, and has been on Forbes’ list of the world’s 100 most powerful women.

Major Gifts Chairs are Drs. Susan Godwin Kofkoff and Richard Kofkoff (Creve Coeur), Deborah and Gary Godwin (CWE) and Jen and David Kaslow (University City).
