Helllloooooo Everyone! My name is Josh and I’ll be your official blogger for this year’s Rubin Trip!
Even though I am blogging for the group as a whole, my first instinct is to introduce myself. So here we go! I am in my second year as Director of Development at St. Louis Hillel. I have a wife, Evie, and 2 year old son, Jacob. We’re also expecting a daughter in March! WARNING: An adorable picture is included in this post.
My vision for the blog includes lots of pictures, cool details about what the group is doing, and informative things we’ve learned along the way, but mostly I want it to be funny and enjoyable to read. Hopefully this first post will suck you in to the point of making you want to check the blog every 10 minutes, thereby dramatically reducing your work productivity until you can’t wait for us all to come back so that you can actually get something done.
But WAIT, there’s MORE! I’ll also be incorporating posts from other group members. So look for additional amazing thoughts and insights on the blog besides my own.
I’d like to end my first blog post with a thank you to Pam and Ron Rubin, whose support makes this trip possible. I feel like I’m on the old game show “Let’s Make a Deal” and I just chose door #2 (the good prizes were ALWAYS behind door #2, weren’t they?) This is truly an amazing opportunity and I can assure you I will make the most of it. Thank you so much!
Israel tomorrow!
