The Millstone Institute for Jewish Leadership is seeking Jewish adults in their 20s who are interested in the issues of social change to sign up for THE LENS. This six-part biweekly program will run from Thursday, Sept. 27, through Thursday, Dec. 13. It is an immersive leadership experience where participants will be exposed to community challenges, network with community leaders and change agents, and learn skills that they can apply to their professional and volunteer careers.
Culminating in individual or small group presentations, THE LENS will challenge participants to explore leadership values from a Jewish perspective, develop inquiry and presentation skills and discover elements of successful collaborations from community leaders who have moved the community forward. Sessions will be facilitated by local trainers, leaders and educators.
Space is limited to 12 adults who represent diverse interests, experiences and involvements throughout the St. Louis Jewish and/or secular community and are interested in making St. Louis a more viable city. Deadline for application is August 31st.
There is a $50 supplies fee. To apply, contact Karen Sher at ksher@jfedstl.org or 442-3824.
