This March, Jewish Federation launched a first-time initiative to involve the community in a fun and interactive fundraising campaign. Drawing on the excitement surrounding the NCAA March Madness Tournament, Federation’s “March Mashugana” asked participants to submit a bracket to a group pool for a minimum donation of $18. The grand prize allowed first-place winner, Robert Heideman, senior loan officer at Cornerstone Mortgage, to designate the nearly $1,000 raised through the tournament to Federation’s “Jewish St. Louis – 2020 Fund.” The fund provides innovative programs to serve, attract, and retain Jewish young adults and young families with children, a fitting choice for the Young Professionals Division (YPD) board member and father of three.
Jewish Federation is the central planning and resource development organization for the St. Louis Jewish community. Federation works to build and support a thriving Jewish community – through a network of 60 agencies, programs and services in St. Louis, Israel and around the world.
