Better Place
For the first stop of the day, the group headed out to the headquarters of Better Place, a private company in Israel which aims to reduce global gasoline fuel consumption through an innovative transportation infrastructure, which includes customized electric vehicles (lithion battery rechargeable), in car software, and a highly complex network of battery replacement, recharge stations, and customer service. We each had the opportunity to test drive one of the Better Place vehicles!
Muzot
The group also visited Muzot, an Arts school for at risk children located in Yaffo-Tel Aviv. During our visit, one of the founders of the school spoke with us about the school’s vision as well as the structure of the program. We also heard from two of the students who have participated in the program.
Lunch at Roladin in Nahalat Binyamin

aAfter lunch, we headed over to old city Jaffa flea market to check out the wide array of offerings, including many different forms of Jewish crafts and shirts. As you can see below, we were also enlivened by some interesting “entertainers.”
