Mirowitz Center is excited to welcome back Wilma Schmitz, the St. Louis Region Liaison and Trainer for SHIP, Missouri’s State Health Insurance Assistance Program. She’ll provide an update on the latest in Medicare and what kinds of revisions will be taking effect January 1, 2027:
Learn about changes you can make during Medicare’s Open Enrollment Period
Review current hospitalization (Part A), plus health (Part B) and drug benefits (Part D)
Learn how to evaluate Medicare Advantage Plans
Learn if you are eligible for programs to help lower your Medicare costs
Minimize risks, including marketing violations and enrollment fraud
This year’s Open Enrollment Period – when you can make changes to your Medicare coverage for 2027 – runs October 15 through December 7. Missouri SHIP counselors are trained and certified by Medicare and the Missouri Department of Commerce & Insurance to provide unbiased counseling. Missouri SHIP counselors do not sell insurance and cannot endorse any health insurance company or insurance plan. And Missouri SHIP services are always free!
