Join Chabad of Chesterfield as we begin writing a brand new Sefer Torah for our growing Jewish community.
What to Expect
Meet the Sofer, the Torah scribe, and see firsthand how a Torah is written by hand.
Guests will have the opportunity to have a letter written in their name or alongside their family, becoming part of this new Torah.
You’ll also be able to see a special collection of historic Torah artifacts and fragments from Iraq, Germany and Russia and learn the stories behind them.
Refreshments will be served.
The new Sefer Torah will eventually have a permanent home in Chabad’s new Center for Jewish Life.
