Kids in grades K-6 are invited to create a Hanukkah-themed original piece of art as part of the Jewish Light’s 2025 Hanukkah Art Contest.
WHO CAN ENTER:
Grades Kindergarten-6, with winners in the following groups: K-1st grade, grades 2-3, and grades 4-6.
Entries will be judged on creativity and artistic merit and how well the artwork reflects the Hanukkah theme.
All winning entries will be published in the Dec. 3 issue of the Light. Every child who enters will be recognized by name in the Hanukkah edition.
PRIZES:
1st place: $72 gift card to Happy Up Inc. (Clayton & Edwardsville)
2nd place: $54 gift card to Happy Up
Honorable mention: $36 gift card to Happy Up
HOW TO ENTER:
– Create an original Hanukkah-themed artwork on 8 1/2 x 11-inch paper.
– Use any medium: crayons, markers, watercolors, colored pencils, paper collage, etc. (no glitter or confetti, please).
– Artwork must be original and created entirely by the child (kits are not allowed).
– Do not write the child’s name on the artwork.
– Attach separate piece of paper with: Child’s name, parent’s name, child’s age, grade, school, synagogue affiliation (if any), and a phonr number.

Monday, Nov. 24 at 5 pm.
