Join us at the Mirowitz Center for an engaging series that introduces The New Jewish Theatre’s 2026 season and explores emerging Jewish themes in the plays. Each session features insights from NJT’s artistic team, lively discussions with a rabbi, and an exclusive discount on play tickets.
The beloved musical, She Loves Me, concludes this year’s series. Based on Miklós László’s play Parfumerie, an intimate and charming romantic comedy about love, connection, and mistaken identities in an old-world shop. From the team behind Fiddler on the Roof and the writer of Cabaret, the musical captures warmth, humor, and endearing innocence — and has inspired such films as The Shop Around the Corner and You’ve Got Mail. Rabbi Lori Levine of Congregation Shaare Emeth will lead a discussion connecting the play’s themes to Jewish values, including community, connection, empathy, and timeless ways relationships bring meaning to our lives. Artistic Director Rebekah Scallet of NJT shares insights about the production itself (costumes, actors, and stage design).
This series is co-sponsored by The New Jewish Theatre.
