Sample Bequest Language

If you are considering including the Jewish Federation of St. Louis in your will or trust, we’ve provided sample bequest language to assist you and your advisor in drafting your plans. Please consult with your an attorney or tax advisor for legal & tax advise.

To Establish an Unrestricted Bequest:

I give $_____ (or specified property) or ____% of my residuary estate to the Jewish Federation of St. Louis (Tax ID # 43-0652643) as an unrestricted gift.

To Establish an Annual Campaign (or Lion of Judah/Forever Lion) Endowment:

I give $_____ (or specified property) or ____% of my residuary estate to the Jewish Federation of St. Louis (Tax ID # 43-0652643) as an Annual Campaign Endowment (or Lion of Judah Endowment), the income therefrom to be distributed solely on an annual basis to the Annual Campaign.
(Minimum gifts: Annual Campaign Endowment – $25,000, Lion of Judah Endowment – $125,000.)
