Helping build vibrant Jewish families…One Story At A Time
PJ Library, a national program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and locally supported through the Jewish Federation of St. Louis, delivers free, age-appropriate Jewish books each month to children from birth through age 12.
PJ Library though goes beyond books. We build Jewish connections through family-friendly events, playgroups, and a network of Parent Connectors—helping families engage in meaningful Jewish experiences right in their neighborhoods.
We hope PJ Library can be a part of your child’s story. PJ Library impacts families beyond the books they receive at home by connecting families to the Jewish community here in St. Louis, and enriching local Jewish programming. The themes in the books are relevant to Jews in all streams of Judaism; thus, the program operates outside the parameters of denomination or level of observance.

Mazel Tav on your family’s new addition! Let Shalom Baby continue in your celebration. When you share with us about a new addition from birth or adoption, the family receives a goody bag filled with donated items from various Jewish organizations, as well as a wealth of helpful information and resources for young families.

PJ Library
The PJ Library initiative is building a stronger Jewish people, one book at a time. At this time when many young families in our society are exploring how they want to raise their children, PJ Library books and music arrive in families’ homes, offering resources for making Jewish choices and establishing Jewish connections.

PJ Our Way
Every good book has a sequel and PJ Our Way is the sequell to PJ Library. Designed for Kids 9-12, every month, kids can come to this site to choose the book they want to receive. The program is available free of charge to families raising Jewish children.
