Partnership Region in Israel
For more than 30 years, the Jewish Federation of St. Louis has been proud to participate in the Jewish Agency for Israel’s Partnership2Gether (P2G) program. Together, we have built deep, lasting connections with our partner communities in Yokneam–Megiddo and Nahal Oz.
Through P2G, we share people, resources, and experiences that strengthen Jewish life in Israel, St. Louis, and Atlanta, creating a living bridge of mutual understanding and solidarity.
Standing with Nahal Oz
In the aftermath of the October 7 tragedy, Kibbutz Mishmar Haemek in our partner region of Yokneam–Megiddo opened its doors to nearly 400 evacuees from Kibbutz Nahal Oz. Since that time, the Jewish Federation of St. Louis—together with our partners in Atlanta and Israel through Communities2Gether, a Jewish Agency of Israel initiative—has been committed to walking alongside them in recovery.
Our shared efforts have provided trauma counseling, community gatherings, and holiday celebrations that nurture resilience and hope. From Hanukkah festivities and Purim care packages to fundraising efforts and storytelling exchanges, we continue to strengthen the ties between Nahal Oz and our communities. Together, we are ensuring that support, compassion, and connection remain constant.
Partnership2Gether (P2G)
P2G connects Jewish communities around the world with specific regions in Israel. What makes it unique is the people-to-people approach: partnerships are not just about programs, but about relationships that grow from year to year.
Community Development
Working hand in hand with our partners in Yokneam and Megiddo, we invest in programs that strengthen families, expand social services, and create pathways for long-term growth. From leadership development to community-building initiatives, these efforts help nurture vibrant, resilient communities where every individual can contribute and flourish.
Supporting Vulnerable Populations
Together with our partners in Yokneam and Megiddo, we are strengthening the social fabric of the community by investing in programs that promote education, health, and economic opportunity. These efforts provide critical support for children, new immigrants, and families facing financial hardship, ensuring that every individual has the resources and resilience to thrive.
Education & Youth Engagement
Through meaningful partnerships between schools in St. Louis, Atlanta, and our partner region in Israel, we are creating opportunities for students to learn from one another, share experiences, and build lasting friendships. Joint projects, classroom exchanges, and cultural connections foster a deep sense of peoplehood, ensuring that the next generation grows up with a strong connection to Israel and to each other.
