Is this donation tax deductible?

Jewish Federation of St. Louis is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We’ll send it to you upon successful completion of your donation. Additionally, every January we mail a donation summary to every household with a gift of $250 or more.

What if my employer participates in a matching gift program? Do you accept employee matching programs?

We would be happy to ensure that your matched gift is processed! Please contact donorservices@jfedstl.org with your name, company information, and any other details regarding your matched gift. We will then follow up to confirm the match.

My company prohibits matching gifts to religious organizations, so how can they match a gift?

Jewish Federation of St. Louis is consider community philanthropic nonprofit legally classified as 501(c)(3) organizations. While rooted in religious and cultural values, Jewish Federation of St. Louis fulfills the requirements of being a nonreligious organization by providing social-service organizations, funding secular community needs, humanitarian relief, and advocacy both locally and globally.

Is my donation secure? How is my personal data handled?

Yes. Your security and privacy is our highest priority. We use industry-standard SSL technology to keep your information safe and secure. Your personal data is processed in accordance with our privacy policy and also in accordance with the privacy policy of GoFundMe when payments are processed through their platform.

Will I get a receipt of my donation?

Yes, we’ll send a receipt to the email address you provide when donating. The receipt will include your donation details, such as the date, amount, and any beneficiary information.
