Adira Romanoff Joins Jewish Federation of St. Louis as Director of Leadership Development

The Jewish Federation of St. Louis is pleased to announce that Adira Romanoff has joined the organization as its first Director of Leadership Development, a newly created role focused on strengthening the pipeline of volunteer and professional leaders across the St. Louis Jewish community.

In the role, Romanoff will develop opportunities for emerging and established leaders to build their skills, deepen their community connections, and take on meaningful leadership roles. She will also work with Federation’s board, committees and volunteer leaders to strengthen leadership practices, engagement and succession planning, and will help advance the work of Federation’s Community Leadership & Engagement (CLE) Committee.

Romanoff will also collaborate with Jewish organizations and community partners to identify leadership needs, connect people with opportunities to serve and strengthen the broader culture of leadership across Jewish St. Louis.

“Over the past several years, we have seen tremendous growth in the number of people stepping forward to lead and strengthen our Jewish community, and we recognized that the time was right to make an intentional investment in developing that leadership,” said Danny Cohn, President and CEO of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis. “We want to help more people discover their leadership potential, develop the skills and relationships they need to lead effectively, and find meaningful ways to contribute. Investing in leadership today helps ensure that our community has strong, engaged leaders ready to shape its future.”

A St. Louis native, Romanoff brings extensive experience in talent and organizational strategy, most recently serving as Talent Senior Manager for Workforce Strategy at Edward Jones. She holds a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Yeshiva University. She is also a graduate of an ICF-credentialed leadership coaching program.

“I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with people and an organization so committed to the vibrancy of our St. Louis Jewish community,” said Adira Romanoff, Director of Leadership Development at the Jewish Federation of St. Louis. “What excites me most about this role is the chance to think intentionally about what our community needs from its leaders, both today and in the future, and how we create the conditions for them to thrive. Strong leadership shapes what is possible for a community, and I am excited to be part of that work here in St. Louis.”

Romanoff and her family are members of Young Israel of St. Louis and U. City Shul. She and her husband, Yehuda, also own and operate Mound City Shelled Nut Co.
