Meet Mark Munsell, Executive Director at GeoSTL, a local nonprofit focused on showcasing the geospatial ecosystem in the bi-state area and advancing a nearly $5-billion geospatial economy that includes 27,000 jobs. Mark, a retired senior intelligence officer, previously served at the renowned National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in such roles as Chief Technology Officer and as its first Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer. You may have already heard about geospatial technology – and how it has mapped everything from World War II battlefields to Apollo lunar missions to the raid against Bin Laden – but this is your opportunity to learn how it’s hiding in plain sight right here in our hometown.
