A Community Shavuot Evening of Learning, Memory, and Meaning with Congregations Shaare Emeth, Temple EmanuEl, Temple Israel, and United Hebrew
This Shavuot, as we mark 250 years of the American story, we gather for an evening of learning, reflection, and community. Together, we’ll explore the connections between Torah, freedom, responsibility, and the ongoing work of building a more just and hopeful world. Come for the cheesecake, stay for the conversation, and leave inspired by the power of both revelation and revolution.
Timeline for the Evening:
7:30 PM – Cheesecake & Wine Reception
7:45 PM – Festival Service with Yizkor – A time for prayer, memory, & gratitude
8:30 PM – Learning Session – Engaging classes connecting Sinai, America, and the questions of our time.
9:30 PM – Closing Ritual: Reading of the Ten Commandments
