Experience an exceptional two-week Mirowitz Center series previewing the Opera Theatre of St. Louis’ 2026 season! Docents will guide you through two of OTSL’s standout productions – The Pirates of Penzance and A Streetcar Named Desire – with insights on the composers and librettists, story highlights, musical excerpts, vivid images, and video clips. Plus, every attendee will also receive a special discount on OTSL tickets. Attend one or both of these world-class presentations! Register for each session individually.

Thursday, April 23 – The Pirates of Penzance
Gilbert & Sullivan’s beloved comic operetta, where young Frederic’s attempt to escape pirate life leads to a whirlwind of romance, swordplay, and delightfully fast-paced fun.

Thursday, April 30 – A Streetcar Named Desire
André Previn’s haunting operatic adaptation of Tennessee Williams’ masterpiece, set in the sultry heat of New Orleans as Blanche DuBois’ fragile dreams collide with harsh and unsettling realities.
Presented by OTSL Docent Kathy Sitzer.
