From Mainz to Auschwitz: Tracing Jewish Life and Loss (free & in person)

Organizer(s): Mirowitz Center (email)
Tue, April 14, 2026
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Mirowitz Center (directions)

In observance of Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), this program draws on Dr. Isaac Amon’s recent visits to Auschwitz and Treblinka in Poland, and Nuremberg, Mainz, and Worms in Germany. Dr. Amon reflects on how these vibrant communities were systematically and brutally erased as part of the Nazi project to create a world free of Jews. Today, they survive only through collective memory, challenging us to confront their enduring absence as part of our responsibility to future generations.
No cost to register, but RSVP required. Please use link below to register online or email program@mirowitzcenter.org or call 314-733-9813.
