“Under the Sukkah: Exploring the Meaning of Sukkot” (free & at Jewish Federation)

Looking for a meaningful way to celebrate Sukkot? Leora Balinsky, chaplain at Jewish Family Services St. Louis, leads this cozy Mirowitz Center program under the Jewish Federation’s sukkah on the Millstone Campus. She will explore how Sukkot’s timeless messages continue to resonate today, while discussing spiritual themes, rituals and symbolism. In addition, the lulav and etrog — the ritual palm branch and citron fruit used during the holiday — will be blessed and shaken in all directions as part of the mitzvah (commandment).
