Her grandfathers soon followed her to the Netherlands\, where Eva had a wonderful childhood until she and her family were sent to the Westerbork camp in 1942 where she remained until the liberation. \n\n\n\nEva is the only surviving cousin of Shirley Heiman\, an active member of the St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum community.
