Peer Award Nomination
JProStL Peer Awards recognizes Jewish communal professionals in 8 different categories ranging from Career Achievement & Young Adult Leader to Mentor and Pillar.
Peer Award Categories
Career Achievement
An experienced professional with over 20 years professional experience (including at least ten in the St. Louis Jewish community) who has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication and effectiveness throughout their career.
Chesed/Kindness
A staff person who provides exceptional care and kindness to clients, members, and/or volunteers (usually direct service).
Dedication
A staff person who demonstrates consistent dedication to their colleagues, their work, and the organization (usually support staff).
Mentor
A supervisor who is seen as a role model and provides valued guidance and support to staff, volunteer leaders or members/students.
Educator
A teacher who nurtures Jewish identity, develops innovative curriculum, is seen as a role model, and has a recognized impact at the school, congregation, agency, and/or community.
Young Adult Leader
A staff person 35 years of age and younger who demonstrates exceptional initiative, dedication, and effectiveness within their organization.
Visionary
An established professional leader who has had a significant impact on the organization and community through innovation in program development, outreach, and or/collaborations.
Pillar
A staff person whose expertise, commitment, and reliability is vital to the success of the organization.
Nomination Submission Guidelines
- Nominators must be must be employed at least 20 hours per week at a St. Louis Jewish Community Organization.
- When possible, it recommended that nominations for the same person from one organization are combined for peer review.
- Selection is based on the quality of nominations.
