Grant Priority: Israel and Jewish Peoplehood
Recipient: Jewish Federation of St. Louis
The Shinshinim program will bring two Israelis, post high school, who will defer their army service for one year, to come to St. Louis for a service year. They will work primarily with four congregations (B’nai Amoona, Kol Rinah, Shaare Emeth and United Hebrew) as well as organize community wide events for teens around Israel. The goal of this program is to create long-term relationships between the Israeli shaliach and the Jews of St. Louis. The Shinshinim nurture a real personal connection, towards the goal of bringing the communities closer together. Learn more.
