Rabbi Mike Uram is the Executive Director and Campus Rabbi for the Hillel at the University of Pennsylvania and the author of the book, Next Generation Judaism: How College Students and Hillel Can Help Reinvent Jewish Organizations.

Rabbi Uram will present on “There is no such thing as the Jewish community: How the old language we use to talk about Jewish community hurts the Jews and weakens Jewish organizations.”

10 am “Seeding Change from Within: Why is it so hard for synagogues to change?”
This session will explore the ways that the theory of “Disruptive Innovation” developed at Harvard Business School can help Jewish organizations reach new people without abandoning the core constituents. Breakfast to follow.
